Our faculty was established in 1992 under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, affiliated with Sakarya University. With the Presidential decision numbered 5868, published in the Official Gazette numbered 31904 dated July 26, 2022, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences was closed and divided into two: the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Our faculty has four departments: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. The Statistics department, which has no students, was also closed by the decision of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 17.04.2024. Although the language of instruction at our faculty is Turkish, students can study English for one year at the English preparatory department of the university. Our students are also allowed to improve their English infrastructure by offering compulsory English courses and optional professional English courses within the scope of our course curriculum. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in domestic and international education mobility through Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana exchange programs. Thus, they can study at other universities for one or two semesters. All our departments are accredited by FEDEK (Science, Literature, Language and History - Geography Faculties Curriculum Evaluation and Accreditation Association).
